The Whiteford Story
Whiteford Associates was founded in 1978 by licensed architect and Traverse City native David W. Whiteford. Over the decades, our work has been proudly featured in numerous regional and national publications dating back to 1990.
In 2019, lead construction manager Mark McDonald stepped into the leadership role, carrying forward the firm’s legacy with a fresh perspective and a commitment to excellence. Since joining Whiteford Associates, Mark has overseen the successful completion of more than 75 projects throughout Northern Michigan—earning the trust and appreciation of clients who value quality craftsmanship and seamless coordination.
Today, David Whiteford continues to serve the firm as lead architect and consultant, providing invaluable insight and expertise to every project.
